How to turn this board in a worldwide movement
Here I copy an e-mail I just sent to all my SRF friends around the world. You can use this same or make your own

Dear SRF friends

Last year, about thirty monastics left the ashram. Many lay members also had to stop working for SRF -- some of them were fired! Two years ago, Brother Devananda, gave an excellent talk at the convocation about the relationship with oneself. I couldn't help to applaud his brilliant ideas, his authenticity and courage to open a discussion about this crucial issue. As a result, the organization wants to get read of him sending him to India, and as you have probably noticed he was not in the speaker panel this last convocation. These issues and much more are being discussed in a message board with the following address:

pub78.ezboard.com/bsrfwalrus

I do not agree with everything that is being said there, nor will you. However, there are some postings that are very insightful and perspectives that are a must to know -- if we are to play an active part in Master's work. I suggest to do what Sri Yukteswar advised: "Be like the ant which takes the grains of sugar and leaves the grains of sand untouched."

I ask you to please pass this address to other devotees, around the world, but make sure they have been in the path for at least 15 years. In other words, this is just for adults! Unless you are solidly established in the path, the information there may hurt more than help. But, please share the address with older devotees, these are crucial times and we, older members, need to be well informed.

I recommend you pay special attention to two subjects in that message board.
1) The teachings and ideals
2) Core Issues

I also encourage you to upload postings and to participate in the discussion, it is fun and creative. The board may have been created by some ex-monks and perhaps also some of the employees that left -- but, no body really knows.

In Master's friendship -- so and so
Note: You can also access the board by typing SRFWalrus @ezboard.com And then you select there the srfwalrus board. You DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER.

So and So.... careful
Be careful SO and SO. Even old timers are not into looking at this stuff or introspecting. These things are very difficult. I posted a message about my theory about why this is here:
pub78.ezboard.com/fsrfwal...D=13.topic
There are many good people in SRF and some probably don't need to look closely. But in my experience most don't want to either. Be careful!

It reminds me of the early days just after I read the AY. I saw some obvious stuff and wanted to help people. Now I see some obvious stuff and want to keep people from getting hurt. But I see the same blank looks! People won't see it until the time is right.

To KS -- outrageous questions
Dear KS

As usual you demonstrate great insight. Thanks for your posting on, why? And your words of caution to “so and so and all of us.”

I would like though to present a somewhat outrageous thought that I have had for a while. You, and me, and others have found the path -- SRF is the real path.

It is a great paradox, because the mess that you and I can see so clearly, is part of the blessings of the path. We have not being deceived, we are in the right path -- and believe me, I'm not deceiving myself again. The problem is that you and I, and others, for some psychological reasons need EXACTLY this test -- and the incredible thing is that the path is so "perfect" that it is providing EXACTLY this test. Let me explain more...

I spoke years ago about some of these issues with a nun -- at least seven years ago! She is way up. After I read to her some of the “shoulds” in the lessons, she said to me. "I fully agree, this place is a mess." "But I would not stay here for a minute if I do not believe beyond doubt that Master is behind this tremendous imperfection helping all of us to grow -- giving to each one of us what we need to advance spiritually." I have great admiration for that nun, she is one of the most intellectual and intelligent people I have met in this incarnation.

So, what is that we need now? A good fight! With whom? With the Mata's the paradigm, the teachings, Anandamoy and so on. Why we need it? Because we need to learn to trust ourselves and here we are learning -- at least myself. Here I'm learning to trust my feelings and thoughts above the Matas' shoulds and shoulds not. Here I'm becoming a self-differentiated, complete human being with a healthy narcissism,-- a healthy ego. How? By fighting exactly what seemed most sacred and powerful.

Master said (aprox): “to become more powerful the wrestler has to fight with a stronger wrestler” And who is providing the opportunity? SRF, the Matas -- but above all, Master. So, long life to SRF and let us slain it (as we know it now) -- what a marvelous paradox!

This is why Master said that this universe is a paradox. This is why science says the same. It is through paradoxes that we grow.

So while we slain the SRF we have known, let us offer our work with devotion to Master, and let us do it for our beloved SRF. This process IS part of our path -- it is not outside it. It is a very important part of our growing. It is perhaps THE most important challenge we will encounter in this incarnation. Let us also do it with greatfulness in our heart that SRF, now, is providing us EXACTLY with what we need -- a good fight! And let us not forget that we are practicing liberating Karma Yoga -- the highest path of action without attachment to the results. Master said (aprox) “those who do not offer their work to God are like the mule that carries a bag of gold on its back knowing only its weight but not its worth”

Why this path is so effective? Because by trying to change what is outside we change inside -- naturally, without effort and with great fun. Isn’t it better than being crossed legged for hours everyday in a stupid closet -- nothing against meditation of course but I’m an extroverted, and I need to express my extroverted energy.

Let me ask you this question KS : Do you have enough self-esteem to believe that Master chose you to be a pioneer in this sacred process of changing the old SRF-- to transform it into the SRF for the 21 st Century? Can you dare to be that narcissistic? Why not?

I will reason, I will act
Rigid, good post. I have thought that this Walrus activity might be for SRF’s benefit, and mine too. If I thought this thing was just to destroy SRF, and to be disloyal, I would not be part of it. I believe we may help ourselves, help those who have and are being hurt, and even help the Matas. I would be interested to hear what the SRF Walrus thinks, even what some of the monks think.

It is dangerous to give SRF this excuse. Plenty of bad things are done in the world and to write them off as part of God’s training of us is not how it works. On one level that is always true. A helpless child dies, a million people die of AIDS, an innocent man is punished for a crime, and all are part of God’s plan. But we can’t just accept these things. Part of the drama we are acting out at our level is to act with compassion and intelligence and honor and loyalty and so on.

The bad ladies don’t realize this. In fact, they are so caught up in delusion that they feel that anything they do is part of God’s plan and therefore they have no guilt! There have been many posts about this.

So I do agree. We need a good fight. This is a holy war! My great Master’s work is being slandered and used to hurt people by the bad ladies. As a loyal devotee it is my duty to not sit outside and just watch but to act. I will reason, I will act, and I will actively pursue a compassionate SRF. It is not the time to be lazy passive devotees.

Accept it, but fight anyway
Evil is part of this world, it is an indispensable part -- so; why resist it? It is better to accept it. However, that is only internally, in our most deepest intimate thoughts. In our action, in our aspirations, we do not need to accept it, we can fight and grow - another paradox! Yes, KS let us give them a good fight, and may God bless the Matas! Any idea how to create that worldwide passive resistance movement we have been talking about? What about creating an e-letter chain to all devotees asking to stop cooperating and giving them a few reasons? I would like your opinion. As I write this I take now a few secondss to offer my work to Master. I remember when I was working at the temples and the same feeling comes but even better -- Oh disloyalty where is thy sting?

Success
I just want to share that I'm receiving good feed back from the people I sent my e-mail telling them about the EZ board. In one case there was an instant recognition of truth as the devotee read the posting about Daya Ma's wittings. She called me and said -- now I understand why I could not read Ma's books!
In another case, my seventy years old uncle, living in Europe, wanted to participate and connected his computer to internet especcially to come here. He is in SRF for more than 20 years, and as he said to me, he has gone through "those feelings" while studying the teachings (never being good enough and so on). And I repeat his age here " seventy not seventeen!
We may be surprised how many people will recognize the many trues that are being daily written here. Let us keep our good work and let us share this EZBOARD address with as many as possible. So and So
