Exasperation talking.
Kriya is good for you. SRF has been passing it out for decades. Get it there and use it. Disregard the middleman, go straight to God with the kriya in your pocket. Disregard supernatural claims and deeds, they are a great distraction. Find God and then come back into life and find the world anew. Do this every day, going back and forth from God to the world. This is done by meditation and kriya yoga. Do them and then go live your life as a normal person. Try to improve yourself in normal ways though study and discipline. Follow your natural talents and develop them. Try to be a good person. Keep it simple.

If the shoe doesn't fit, please disregard.
From "Footsteps to Freedom" ( www.kriyasource.com/ ) :
Quote:
When Guruji [ Prakash Shankar Vyas ] once told a devotee that the most important aspects given by Lahiri Mahasaya did not feature in her method, he received the reply that perhaps the guru at the head of her organization did not consider such things necessary for Westerners. She had full faith that her guru and leader of the organisation knew the original Kriya practice, but thought that he must have some good reason for not passing it on.

If this were the case, Guruji said that it seemed as if the leaders wanted to make their members blind; they had established certain rules to dissuade people from questioning and searching. For whatever reason, they were not interested in seeing their disciples' progress. Moreover, it seemed that some organisations turned Kriya Yoga into something resembling a church or sect, and hung monastic orders upon it.
