So what is the purpose of this board? Why not just drop out, quit attending church, quit sending in donations, quit writing, quit serving. I agree that internally SRF is pretty screwed up. But do we expect them to change or are we just making ourselves feel important by talking about their problems?

SRF is not going to change. These people are firmly in control. You all realize that. So what is the purpose of this board?

Let us vent a little! Probably all we can do is blow off a little steam. The feeling of betrayal is overwhelming and takes some healing. In the beginning we all read the AY, sign up for the lessons, maybe start to serve somewhere, and feel harmony and peace and that we have really found something. Finally something in our lives feel right! The meaning of life revealed! Seems pretty cool.

Then we get involved with the central SRF org and find many of these people don’t know how to behave, can’t control their tempers, and have an inflated sense of their own place in Master’s work. We see them mistreat each other, lie, and even observe petty power struggles. How is this possible from the representatives from Master’s own organization?

I disagree we should stop serving, but we can at least talk about it.

I want to make it clear that my disappointment is with SRF management. I have found most of the members to be loyal dedicated devotees. The temples have been great places to serve. The trouble is with the leadership at Mother Center. What a disappointing group. My advice is to stay away from there, just serve where you are!

This board will probably not change SRF. It has a much higher purpose. Many people have been very deeply hurt by the behavior of those at the highest levels of the SRF organization. Part of the healing process is being able to talk about those experiences with others. I suggest we let people talk without attempting to spin that talk as something egotistical like making ourselves important. SRF spins things like this constantly. Let's leave the spin to them and, perhaps for the first time, let people talk about the things that need talking about without judgment or fear.

Purpose of this board?
I have found I can not speak for anyone. I can only share my story, and hope that part of it will be found to be helpful to other as they live their story.
Since for me life is a grand experiment. Experiments are not about being perfect, in fact if you want to be perfect and never make mistake, I find one will never discover much.

This board is a place to share our experiments with truth. This encourages all us to experiment with our own truths.

For me there is nothing that is not positive. Good examples of how to be are just as positive as bad ones. Deciding what you don’t want to be is just as important as decided who you want to be. Life is not about who anyone is, it is about who I want to be. I am not here to change anyone’s life, just my own.

There is no power in living lies. Those who live them must fine this out for themselves. The power is in truth, no one can not stop it.

For anyone to say that these people will never change has not glue to the power of truth. Did Gandhi just throw up his hands and say that the British government would never change. No way. Gandhi himself said, I never tried to change the world only tried to change myself.

We all have that power. We must live truth, and by changes ourselves and demanding the respect and truth that is ours. We will change not just SRF but the whole planet. That my friend is the power of truth.


Let me share with you all what I see. I talk about this on my web page. The people running Mother Center has not grown pass the age of Kali, where one person or thing held all the power. This is neither good or bad nor here or there. It is just the want it IS. If you expected SRF to be these perfect beings who are suppose to be incredibly advanced, you will be very disappointed. But may I point out it is our own expectations that are causing the disappointment, not SRF. If you realize that they are just mortals like the rest of us doing the best they can, we won’t take them too seriously and we won’t give away our power, and thus will not be disappointed.

You see we tell ourselves that we are not perfect. But perfection is a myth that we have created so we do not have to own who we are (a child of God, like Yogananda and ever saint has come to tell us). We can assign enlightenment to the experts and the responsibility of declaring what is right or wrong, so we do not have to make a mistake. Thus we do not have to live consciously or responsibly. The experts made me do it. I can not tell you how many time someone say Master said this, or Brother said that, or Sister said this. Once you claim the advise of someone you own it. If it does not work then you are the one who has to change and take responsibility for.

Getting back to the age of Kali and the Mother Center One of the most marvelous and exciting times is now on this planet. We get to see wonderful example of the Kali age in action. We get to see examples of lives that at first glance we though we wanted to be like and then with closer inspection saw something was not working. We all need to study these examples or experiments of life to discover what went wrong for them, so that we do not make the same mistakes in our experiments with life. Aren’t you glad, that because of these examples, we can choose to make some adjustments to our experiments so our experiments won’t end up like theirs. What a gift, what a boon. Just do not be attach to the examples or the experiments.

Do you under stand that we are transitioning here on this planet, on all levels. We are becoming butterflies. For this to happen, the caterpillar must die. Self empowered people means disempowered leaders.

There is never a breakthrough without a breakdown. There is never a birth without a death. We are at that point with SRF. For there to be a breakthrough there must occur a breakdown. Now is not the time for giving up. Hang-in there through the breakdown so we can be around to help with the breakthrough. That to me is loyalty. Stick with truth, stick with Yogananda, not the drama that it is playing around. That drama is here to make each and everyone of us reclaim our power and our own connection with God and the Masters. We must learn to see the perfection it every moment and therby be able to seise the moment of opportunity that it brings us.

So do not curse the darkness, but be a light unto it. But we must be that light. We will bring that light back and offer it to God, Master, SRF and the world. That is what Kriya is about, that what Yogananda came for. Practice our Kriya and live our truths and we will make a better place for all. We must use all means available to help bring about that truth and this bulletin board is just one of many means.

You don’t fight darkness you just bring in the light. Part of the light is getting the truth out to others and the bulletin board is playing a vital roll in that.

I found a perfect form of service. My own life. All these years, I was wondering why weeds were popping up in inexplicable cracks of my life's sidewalk. Then I realized how much time I was giving to pulling weeds in Hidden Valley.
