Don't stop on your way to God to worship SRF
There are a lot of opinions flying here about what SRF has become and will become and so on. Unless you have been a monastic or employee in Los Angeles I don’t think you can really imagine the truth. The place is not the pit of despair and neither is it a place full of people on the spiritual path. It is a weak cult with little direction and purpose, of no value to society or its members. All the endless debate is fine but looking at the organization externally, when they do their best to keep everything about themselves secret, doesn’t begin to reveal the culture inside.

I feel certain Master created the organization with Eastern views of religious organization in mind. What happened was that frightened insecure women took over and turned it into a Mormon or Catholic like organization because of their limited understanding and basic desires. It is now a hero worship cult on the inside with “God-realized” (ha ha) souls flailing around doing almost nothing. SRF is in the final days of its life and should be allowed to slowly dry up. I have seen some messages here that Master may have intended SRF to go through this phase so that members are not drawn to worship that organization. I can see where that might be the truth.

Unless you have been inside you can’t really image the culture there. People spy on each other and claw their way to “important” positions by pulling down others. Think of it as a high school without adult supervision in a rich neighborhood. Why waste time on it? The only value of this board is that people see a different view and begin to question things before they give them large sums of money or become monastics. Move on.

From the outside what can you see? You read the AY and ASSUME that SRF is a wonderful spiritual ashram. Reading the AY closely you will see that Master has given many examples of false organizations and leaders. Isn’t that true? Do we get the hint or do we desperately want to belong to the “best religion in the world” and assume SRF is it? You read carefully carefully carefully crafted letters and believe what they preach they practice. It is not true. Can you see SRF actually DOING anything to help people? Do they try to help the poor or even try to help their members? They are a selfish group of people inside the main center and only think of themselves. Apply the same discrimination that Master applied over and over in the AY.

Don’t waste much time on the Walrus. Once you get the message that it may not be the organization you had hoped it was look into it. Unless you see for yourself be wary. Pull inspiration from Master's books and head directly to God. Don’t stop to worship SRF.

So, if SRF is doomed.... what happens to the property SRF owns? Are they selling anything?

It has not gone that far yet. SRF has tons of money from what I have heard. It will be 10 years or so until the sell off starts. Watch for the sell off of Hidden Valley to start it all, or Cherry Valley. Maybe their property in Virginia. It will be hush hush.

Have a question here that doesn't quite fit into the topic exactly, but YellowBeard doesn't want to start another thread to clutter the board up with.

Anyone know anything about the fellow that took a gun (handgun?) to the Mother Center and shot up a portrait of Yogananda? Did he run off or get arrested? This is nothing recent. Happened several years ago. Please post if anyone has any details whatsoever on this.
