Reply 		Ascension Ceremonies will not help
I know some who feel that having a few ascension ceremonies will really help SRF. After much thought, I disagree. The bad ladies have put into place a diseased system which will perpetuate the problems they have created. New leaders, wonderful leaders, are not waiting in the wings to take over. Those chomping at the bit to take control are as bad or worse than the people there now.

Much dogma, many bad habits, and large barriers to change will be left behind. For the matas to leave SRF in this state will doom it to a minor role and possibly extinction. People will continue to be hurt.

The only thing that can help SRF at this point is for a mata to show some moral courage, quit hiding from the problems, and stand up for change. They should appoint a successor now (before they pass on), one not in the current royal court, and step down. They should also publicly admit the problems, accept responsibility, and express hope that the membership will help the organization recover.

I feel strongly that this is the only way for SRF to pull back from the dark path it is currently on. The matas, at least one, must act. Maya Mata has its fangs too deep into the organization for anything else to work at this late stage.

Of course the matas have shown cowardice at every opportunity for change and I therefore don’t expect them to do anything. They are failing to help Master’s work at this very critical time, and it can only be a signal that SRF is supposed to either shrink to a one room publishing house, or vanish altogether.

Hold onto your socks. It won’t go down easy. The next 15 years should be a real show.
