Why is it that SRF will only hire non-members for some types of positions?

Employment Department: For many years now SRF insists on hiring non-members for the department that handles the employees and their treatment. Why do you suppose that is?

Legal Department: The matas have decided to do more hiring in their legal department but made it known that only non-members need apply. Why would that be? Would members object to the legal dealings of SRF? If someone is practicing Master’s teachings should that exclude them from helping SRF with legal problems? Why would that be? (Walrus readers surely know the answer) They are even laying off members in some areas, but still hiring non-members in the next office.

President’s Office: The SRF president has a small army of people assisting her. They keep their own records on members including their donations and letters. They also execute things for the president and of course control access to the president. Why would they now be hiring only non-members for that department?

So is this legal?? I thought that employers are supposed to be non-discrimanatory in regards to race, gender, AND religion!! Is this actually stated in the reason they won't hire someone for a particular job? Wow.... Maybe a non-member needs to be hired to fill their positions too. Remarkable.
