SRF Magazine
Do SRF "insiders" get the SRF magazine before subscribers do? Every quarter the devotees on a certain SRF devotee message board start talking about what's in the new issue of the magazine weeks before I receive my copy in the mail. This time is no different. I haven't even received my copy yet, and certain people who volunteer at the Encinitas and Hollywood temples have already been discussing their new issue for weeks. What's up with that?

Re: SRF Magazine
Maybe they purchased it directly from the temples.

So the temples get them before they are even mailed out to the subscribers?

Re: magazine
Once a week, usually on Wednesdays there's an inter-colony truck run called the veggie run or produce run. It is used to move inter-colony mail and produce between several of the colonies. It stops at Hidden Valley, Encinitas, Publications, and Mount Washington. I'm assuming this is how some of the members received the magazines early. I remember back when the Bhagavad Gita was first introduced (and no, I'm not referring to several thousand years ago!) those living in the colonies had the opportunity to purchase it several months before the official release. The colonies/temples simply need to put in a purchase request to get the goods.

Mail Timing
Notoriously slow in all communications. The only mail I ever got in record time was DM Master's mahasamandhi this year. The message is defensive I felt considering all that's on this board. I too haven't gotten the latest zine.

SRF is not the apex of efficiency.

I live in California. Just received the magazine today. One thing you can say about SRF: Their publications are perfecto, beautiful, esp. the magazine and that all time superb publication, WINE OF THE MYSTIC. No complaint there.

Magazine
It figures that someone living in California where the magazine is published would get their issue 6 days later than a person who lives in Europe. Only in SRF. As far as their publications being "perfecto, beautiful" etc., it's the least we can expect -- it takes then 40-50 years to publish stuff that Master left ready for publication when he died...shoot, it's easy to be perfect when you take 40-50 years to do something...
