Kriya Organizations
Hi there everyone. I'm about ready to receive Kriya (I've been practicing for a year). I've been with SRF for 2-3 years. But, now that I've read Walrus, I have doubts. I spent years and years reading and following every letter from the Matas and books of Yoganandaji, but now I don't like them (the Bad Ladies) anymore. Do people recommend that I take Kriya from SRF or another organization. If from another organization which one?

Re: Kriya Organizations
Are you still attracted to Yogananda despite your doubts about the org? If so, it’s probably still the best way to go. Yes, the org definitely has its problems, but so does every other org you could wind up with. Be that as it may, you do have to use your discrimination about what you read here and weed out the truth from the rancor. Once folks get their shiny SRF bubbles burst, there is a tendency to lash out.

Remember, once you have kriya, you never have to have anything at all to do with any org, SRF or otherwise. It’s about you and guru. Period.

Anyone who tells you differently is selling something.

Re: Kriya Organizations
Thanks a bunch. I am still attracted to Yoganandaji even after this SRF mess. I have had my bubble burst, but now I understand. I don't want to lash out and attack SRF or anyone else, and hopefully I will not do that. I am, however, for positive reform which this site advocates.

Thanks to the Walrus

Ian

And there is your answer. Your deep in your heart answer. Between God and you. Forget the rest of us in this question. We’re out here, we’re doing whatever. Part of the drama, and so it goes. That’s all. When it comes to Guru, shut us out, shut us up; we have nothing to offer you, including anything I say here.

And that’s good on ya. Maybe you are ahead of the curve and don’t have to go through the same snot we earlier ones or dimmer ones had to go through. One can only hope.

Mr./Ms. Chamberlain, you bring a spirit that speaks of common sense, except for the part that seeks positive reform. ;)

Again. God and Guru. Orgs are ogres; leave them behind. Yogananda tipped us with that hornet’s nest bit, but we were too busy thinking he was talking about something else. More fool us. Again and again and again.

It's Mr. Chamberlin (No Worries) :D . Anywho - Thank you so much for your kind advice. Now I will be able to seek out God in a much more devoted manner.
