Charity donations at $241 billion remain exceedingly strong
Guests and All,

In the June 23rd, 2003 New York Times, page A14:

Charitable donations ntionwide for the year 2002 remain exceedingly strong despite the economy.

Donations reached $241 billion, only .5 % below the previous year.

So if SRF donations have fallen off, this is not attributable to a national drop off in all charities, which didn't happen!!

Someone told me that George Harrison had donated all future residuals of the song "My Sweet Lord" to SRF. Can anyone confirm this? If these are the types of donations that Mother Center receives then I can understand where the money is coming from. Does anyone know of any other trusts that may be set up to keep on giving to SRF?

This is true, according to a notice of thanks given to his family in a fairly recent SRF mag, one of the 2002 issues I believe.

BTW, the name "Mitrananda" is listed in the acknowledgement section of George's last album, "Brainwashed," which I enjoy very much. I guess he helped with the sound mix, or other produciton issues.
