It looks like the Ananda Church was at the SRF Convocation. There were announcements at the temples about it (lasting 15 minutes!), handouts to all the people attending convocation, announcements at the first class, and Daya Mata is supposedly not going to come for fear of a disruption. What is going on? Does anyone know what they are doing there that would cause SRF so much concern?

SRF's tactic is to bankrupt Ananda with heavy litigation. I was one of the few who actually went over to the Biltmore and said hello to Ananda members. They are indistinguishable from SRF devotees. They love Master very much and they try to live his ideals. In fact, their approach to householder living and the education of youth is light years ahead of SRF in my opinion. And I've been an SRF summer camp couselor and Sunday School teacher for almost 15 years.

In the world of business, there are anti-trust laws to prevent the establishment of monopolies. Plus our first amendment guarantees citizens the right to worship however they choose. Imagine the Catholic church trying to sue all the other Christian churches for using the name and teachings of Jesus. Well that's what SRF is doing.

I am not a member of Ananda. After my experience in SRF, I have next to no desire to get involved with any form of organized spirituality. All said, I believe Ananda is the compliment of SRF. They are adressing parts of Master's vision that SRF doesn't feel in the mood to acknowledge.
