Re: SRF's stance on ANYTHING
>P.S. Your resort to name-calling speaks for itself.

My resort to "name-calling?" Do you mean, Bub? My, my, youngster, aren't YOU sensitive. Or perhaps, not a male? The name "Bub" is an old style Americanism, as in, "Hey Bub, how's the weather?" "Bub", as in, Bubba, a colloquialism for "brother" in which case if you are a lady, I might, in keeping with the 1930's lingo, have begun, "Sorry, Sister."

Beg your pardon. Meant no offense. As for the "distinction." I'd suppose, given some serious saddhana, that all distinctions melting away in the Presence is closer to the ultimate. Wouldn't you agree, at least, in theory?

Re: SRF's stance on ANYTHING
I guess that I should also add IMHO, that the realization of a distinction between ego and soul is a step occurring at the outset of the Path which diminishes as the traveler moves on. Hence, one holding on to the "distinction" and using it as a club (the moral bully) differs greatly from one using it as a teaching tool(the guru).

So yes, the Michael Murphy quote is unclear. I appreciate your pointing that out.

"First there is a mountain
then there is no mountain
then there is".....Zen sermon
